Socrates Sculpture Park Critic: Joyce Hsiang The Socrates Sculpture Park is located in Brooklyn and currently accommodates a continually changing series of art installations as well as a variety of community events. The project brief called for the design of a new canoe/kayak center with bicycle hire facilities and space for a small gallery to accompany the installations in the park. A series of pavilions accomadate the various programmatic elements and create new routes through the northern part of the park. Infrastructure is used to accelerate the process of erosion, gradually changing the landscape over time and each pavilion's relationship to the water.
